It takes an enormous amount of courage to stand there, keep filming, and scream "What the fuck, you asshole" at someone wearing a badge who just shot and killed one of your neighbors in cold blood.
I need people to wrap their minds around the fact that here in Minneapolis, ICE broke the window of a vehicle yesterday, pepper sprayed the occupants, and arrested them, and shot another observer in the face today, and OBSERVERS ARE STILL GOING OUT TO PROTECT THEIR NEIGHBORS AT MASSIVE PERSONAL RISK

just bounced off two books. the long earth - terry pratchett and Stephen Baxter, got 30 pages in and didnt care & put off by obtuse writing style, then noped out of whalefall by daniel kraus when i realized it's half diver stuck in a whale and half dead dad issues which i dont need in my fiction lol

Bands like Japandroids, HEALTH & Black Dresses all take it in different directions but are intent on whatever they're doin being turned up to 11 be it waves of noise or glory days anthems

Once again listening to Christ Inversion and the Necrophagia albums Phil Anselmo played guitar on. They really help contextualize the great southern trendkill and reinventing the steel. Knowing Phil's move into the more extreme side of metal helps those records make a lot more sense
