Progress has slowed down a lot on my game, but only because I'm trying to get more important things moving along in my life.

What I will give away is this - A test render that'll act as my rotoscope base for an art style I plan to shift into later on.

Lovely, after I sorted out the Procreate update mess, now I'm having to look for alternatives for Affinity's apps because it's looking highly likely they're taking away my buy once licenses and make no mention of their new app or pricing, meaning it's probably a subscription now. fml

What a way to end the week - implemented (a very basic form of) New Game+, Swapped out the old panel for my new, multi-purpose main menu, and even got a limited version of my extras menu ready for mid-game access!

Honestly, I'm feeling proud, heh...

Following up on yesterday, I've now added my Pocket Communicator, along with full support for tracking files are downloaded and can be shown to the player! With this, my first area of the game is functionally complete! 🎉

This took an embarrassingly long amount of time for me to code in, but I figured out enough ancient simplified AGS script to finally have a working document system... kind of!

Slight update on my decision trees - made simple changes so that the text isn’t just plain text on black at the bottom of the screen. Still wish I had the chops to program a custom drawing routine for decision points like this though! #IndieDev #SoloDev

Finally added two new rooms and settled on a room navigation system! Yes, there's placeholder graphics aplenty for now, but I can at least code new rooms before the visuals are ready!

Probably gonna drop VA for now though...

Took a Mental Health break from writing, but I will say, It's surprisingly refreshing imagining your characters in out-of-story moments, detached from the plot, if still a cool wrinkle for the lore! #GameDev #SoloDev

Gonna be honest, still low key upset about the NAS yesterday because the Final Cut Project associated with Sequence Break (Well Done, cloud storage provider) has been corrupted because a big corporation thinks it’s a good idea to zip up the .fcpproj folder before sending it along. #IndieDev #SoloDev
