The wealthy have stolen so much wealth and rigged the system so far that our economy is on the verge of collapse. They’re pushing fascism and dismantling democracy to get at what little remains.

We don’t have to live like this. We deserve better.

2) Love it when commentators from the Institute of Centrist Purity Control hide behind slippery “pragmatism” to accuse progressives of purity testing 🙄

I think a lot about how much society pressures us to forgive people who don't think they actually need forgiveness
Reconciliation without reparation is one of supremacy's greatest sabotages of the act of repair. Whenever abuse is exposed, it offers free exoneration to the abuser at the expense of the abused, and calls it redemption. It's the traditional and popular response to abuse in our supremacist society.
Leaders of a Minnesota church community didn’t report a parishioner they knew had sexually abused girls for year.

They told his victims that once sins were “washed away in the blood of reconciliation,” they could never speak of them again.

Truly chilling, from @jlussenhop.bsky.social & Andy Mannix

Ever since someone on here brought up the fact that the media literally just interviews rich people to get their thoughts on random shit, even though there’s absolutely no need to do that, it’s all that I can see everywhere

i'd say it did. the public put a group of thieves, vandals and extremists in office last november and they promptly went about destroying everything that might work to limit their ability to loot, steal and inflicting pain on the people they hate
This whole NYT account about the weaponization of DOJ is beyond disturbing. Kinda feels like the US government fell in January.

One thing that’s so frustrating living in a city center is the pervasive belief among suburbanites that your neighborhood is nothing more than a consumer experience for them and that the city should bend over backwards to ensure they can speed as fast as possible on their way to buy treats in it.

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.
