There’s a news story today about how Israel is bulldozing over the bodies of people who died at these sites- they also are making it very difficult for the people (in this case a child) who were injured there to get care.
I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Muhammad. Muhammad worked in his father’s electrical appliances store but it was destroyed. He is using his fundraiser to help his 17 year old brother Muhannad who was shot while trying to get aid at the US site and had his spleen removed

I'mma say it, Commando is the 80s equivalent to Blade: A silly and distinct action movie with a unique soundtrack (STEEL DRUMS) that is loads of fun and represents the cultural moment it was made.
There are some really great one-liners in 80s action movies, but it's a rare case where we get a set-up, a callback, a payoff, AND a coda.

Commando is freaking amazing. It even goes to a non-"I'll be back" callback to The Terminator!

"And if you want your kid back, then you gotta cooperate, right?"

"WRONG."

I could keep working myself up about Universes Beyond turning Standard Magic into an IP-Fest, but it's much more fun to think up uses for goofy-ass cards that have been made within the past year and fit my particular tastes.

In Europe 'Sonic Rush Adventure' was rated 12+ due to some of Marine's use of the word "Bugger" in a cutscene. A late European-only revision of the game changed the dialog, and made the game rated 3+ instead.

I genuinely do not understand why ‘RFK Jr wants to kill thousands of American kids and make millions sick’ isn’t in the news basically every day. Also, why are Republicans OK with killing kids? Is it because they’re so busy covering for pedophiles that they’ve given up on kids entirely?
Breaking news: Federal vaccine advisers selected by Health Secretary RFK Jr. are planning to vote on ending the practice of vaccinating all newborns for hepatitis B and to examine whether shots are behind the rise of allergies and autoimmune disorders.
RFK Jr.'s vaccine advisers plan biggest change yet to childhood schedule
The new chair of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices said the panel plans to vote to end universal hepatitis B vaccination at birth and to scrutinize if childhood shots cause allergies.

I think there's a lot of art where it goes:

1) thing
2) thing so good it establishes some tropes everyone copies
3) thing so good at understanding those tropes, it subverts them
4) things that copy the subversion as "this is the genre now" cargo culting the genre

A week on the French Riviera costs less than a week at Disney World. Bright Sun Films (travel YouTuber) did the math.
Absolute side note here - it is way cheaper to go to Europe than it is to take your kids to Disney world.
