Springsteen at an unbilled performance at a Parkinson’s benefit Sat. in NJ—

“…send a message to this President. And as the Mayor of that city has said, ‘ICE should get the fuck out of Minneapolis.’ So this one is for you, and the memory of the mother of three and American citizen Renee Good.”

The concept of the “via media” could be a great gift to our Episcopal/Anglican tradition but we have allowed it to become a tragical hindrance to the gospel
he also said that Bp. Hirschfield's call for clergy to put their bodies on the line to protect the vunerable was, in NPR's words, "at odds with one of Episcopalians' guiding tenets - Via Media - that calls for finding a middle path between extremes"

we truly need to shut down via media until we stop using it to bow down to fascism….
any "via media" that is compromise for the sake of peace rather than comprehension for the sake of truth, any via media that makes peace with oppression rather than fearlessly contending against evil, such a "via media" should burn in the fires of gehenna

Does anyone know if there is a plain language "what to do if ICE comes to your door" zine or flyer? There are people in my building with intellectual disabilities and/or delays that could really benefit from them.

The violent federal occupation of the Twin Cities is enough of a horrifying reality in and of itself. It only is a "distraction" from the Epstein files if you dont think the communities of color and the queer community of the Twin Cities being brutalized & terrorized by armed feds doesnt matter.

Listen up. We know already that Epstein was a mass rapist and friends with Trump and powerful elites. We already know our country is doing everything it can to protect these powerful rapists.

Please stop shouting "but the Epstein files!" every time the government tries to kill my neighbors.

I don't know how to convey to people that POLICING in the US is experienced by countless Black and brown people in the way that ICE is currently acting towards people.

I know we all love "Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?" but I would really like to see some "Do you renounce Satan and all the spiritual forces of wickedness that rebel against God?" energy in the parish newsletters too at this point

This doesn’t come out of thin air. The Episcopal Church of New Hampshire remembers the martyrdom of Jonathan Daniels during the civil rights movement and is preparing those in ministry now for what is to come.

so between "if you work for the feds on immigration, seek counsel for the sake of your immortal soul" from the bishop of dallas and now "clergy, update your wills then hit the streets" from the bishop of new hampshire, I feel that a shift has begun in 2026 in the rhetoric from episcopal leadership
