Many feel betrayal and frustration, and the feelings are hot right now.

I get it. I have my own feelings.

Don't call the cops on someone in a mental health crisis unless you want them dead.
Three former San Antonio police officers were acquitted on Monday of all charges related to the fatal shooting of a woman who appeared to be having a mental health crisis when they were dispatched to her apartment in 2023. nyti.ms/4qRnvvT

Quizzling Dems: The White House says they want to work with us.

Trump: EAT SHIT, MOTHERFUCKERS!
Trump to air traffic controllers: "For those that did nothing but complain, and took time off, even though everyone knew they would be paid, IN FULL, shortly into the future, I am NOT HAPPY WITH YOU. You didn’t step up to help the U.S.A. against the FAKE DEMOCRAT ATTACK"

For me, personally, it would be difficult to betray people who supported me and put me in the Senate so brazenly, but I'm not a career politician, so what the fuck do I know?
Sen. Angus King: "Standing up to Donald Trump didn't work"

Silver linings.
Today is disappointment. However, Johnson must bring the house back to vote on this deal.

In which case he must swear in Rep Grijalva. In which case, the Epstein Petition will go through.

And I am VERY interested in gaining ground on another side of this fascist fight.

Consequences ARE coming.

Violet is right, I'm logging the fuck off.
Pro Tip: When you're incredibly frustrated by politics but it's the middle of the night so you can't organize a march or blow up lawmakers' phones, it is more healthy to get off social media and watch a movie or play a game or otherwise just do something to try and improve your mood rather than stew

My homies playing Umamusume when I ask if they wanna play Risk of Rain later:
Sorry I can’t go. I have horse rehearsal. I have rehorsal. We rehearse the horses, all kinds. Usually there are a few of us at rehorsal and everyone has different kinds of horse for it. For horse rehearsal. Rehorsal

I'm personally taking credit for her Nay vote.

(I'm kidding, of course, and grateful to Senator Baldwin for not being a Quizzling.)
Just left a voicemail for @baldwin.senate.gov telling her she loses my vote next time if she caves. I am baffled that this is even on the table.
Sens. Jeanne Shaheen (N.H.)
Maggie Hassan (N.H.)
Sens. Jacky Rosen (Nev.),
Tammy Baldwin (Wis.), Mark Kelly (Ariz.),
Jon Ossoff (Ga.),
Gary Peters (Mich.) Dick Durbin (Ill.)

the Democrats who are are considered by R's as possible “yes” votes for the deal.

Tonight, I am voting no on a procedural vote on an appropriations deal that would re-open the government. Since July, I have been clear: to earn my vote, Republicans would have to do something to bring down the cost of health care for working and middle-class Michiganders. (1/4)

Every person who marched in No Kings, every organizer that crafts the ground game for these ghouls, is furious beyond words right now.
I think Senate folders are significantly underestimating how fucking angry Democratic voters are at them

Motion to consider the 3DO/PSX Road Rash soundtrack to be on the same level as the first Tony Hawk. Swervedriver and Therapy? on the same game?! Hell yeah.
Name a game that has a banger soundtrack

Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

If you're represented by one of the squishier centrists, be sure to make a call. Now.

Democrats have to stop bailing out Republicans from facing the consequences of their own policies. And yeah, that means they have to stop sparing voters from experiencing what GOP government truly means.

Every time Dems step in, it only emboldens the GOP & they make it even worse the next time.
So Democrats get:

1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays

2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail

3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts

Those all seem like wins for the GOP.

I'm really excited for Mondo to stop existing because in the Drafthouse bankruptcy, they were forced to sell Mondo, who was bought by... Funko.
Funko admits “substantial doubt” it can continue as a going concern amid crashing sales and mounting debt.

The Pop! maker warns of potential loan defaults without fresh funding or a buyout, after a 14% sales drop and $250M in obligations.

I honestly just wish we as a society would still normatively decide that this is a deal-breaker and cease using the thing, resulting in the company being destroyed.
