Colonizers pollute the land because they cannot make any meaningful connection to it.

Exploitation and extraction are only capable of causing harm.
“The U.S. military built bases and installations across Unalaska and throughout the Aleutians during WWII, then abandoned structures and equipment when forces left — including insulation with asbestos, drums of brake fluid & antifreeze, & transformers containing polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs”
Old WWII military sites still affect daily life in Unalaska — residents are changing what they hunt, fish and eat due to lingering contamination.

Alberta is "funding" the rest of Canada
using resources extracted from the lands of sovereign Indigenous nations
stolen by a foreign monarch
who claimed the land by virtue of
his supposed racial and religious superiority.

Crime-on-crime-on-crime against humanity to perpetrate environmental crimes.
National Post Deception

Ted Morton: Albertans are tired of being resented while funding the rest of Canada

The same old BS from the Bitumen pollution industry that owes Canadians a fortune for damages caused and has left abandoned oil well time bombs all over Alberta. Boom

Herein lies a problem to the problem.

Prosecutors shouldn't be afraid that cops will perjure themselves.

Prosecutors should PROSECUTE those MFs and convince a judge to send them straight to jail where they belong.

Make an example of them until the rest smarten up.
"Police dishonesty, even on the stand and under oath, is so common that it has its own name (“testilying”), and it has forced prosecutor offices to create what are called “Brady Lists” of officers they will not put on the stand out of fear they’ll commit perjury."
My latest, in @msnbc.com, on how ICE, CBP, and Bovino may be overplaying their hand in Chicago.

Also: this will only make hiring go ICE harder.

And: I hope ppl appreciate that the lying Judge Ellis calls out is NOT an aberration, but a very consistent problem w police claims.

Hate against Indigenous people is on the rise in Canada.

It often masquerades as convenience-conditional allyship, which is really only cosplay allyship.

This piece written by âpihtawikosisân in 2020 is as relevant as ever.
apihtawikosisan.com/2020/02/an-o...

Posted a wrong link to this yesterday. Was just pointing out that things remain the same - it's far too easy to get mad at Indigenous Peoples or newcomers than face the fact that this system is trying to kill us all.

Colonizer Carney is ramping up the MMIWG2S epidemic.

Thousands of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two spirit people is not enough for him.

Colonizer Carney has signaled to violent men that hunting season is open: Indigenous people will never be protected like other Canadians.
"The support for millions of people who rely on Friendship Centres and good jobs held by Indigenous people working at Friendship Centres, particularly Indigenous women, are at acute risk of disappearing."

And let's be clear: Colonizer Carney is leaving all Indigenous people out of this budget.

The loss of UPIP will burden on-reserve programs, which are also facing cuts and program sunsets.

It will drop "non-status Indians" from services we need.

It will reinvigorate Canada's apartheid system.
"'Urban Indigenous people have been left out of this budget and, we fear, being left behind by this government,' said Pam Glode-Desrochers, NAFC Board President."

The National Association of Friendship Centres press release on Budget 2025.

Colonizer Carney's failure to renew UPIP will harm over 55% of the total population of Indigenous people in Canada.

And the $200 million annual UPIP provides many more services.

All gone.

Imagine your sports team could cancel your public services and give the money to billionaires to buy yachts and private jets.

You'd stop cheering for that team pretty darn quick.

And that's what Carney has done in the 2025 federal budget.
