I love Deadlands, but every once in a while I'll be reading an old book from Deadlands classic and get a chuckle at a real howler of a lie due to Lost Cause stuff.

Like Nathan Bedford Forrest not always being a bad guy, but making it canonical that John Brown went to hell after he died.

Property crimes would still be crimes under Marxism.

But they'd more often be considered crimes against everyone, rather than an individual.

I guess I’m confused why the Totally Super Serious For Real This Time You Guys Ukraine Peace Plan is being taken seriously when we all know what’s gonna happen in a week or two.

This ended up being one of Grant and Sherman's worst moments of the war, as they both were very resistant to share credit, despite the fact that Thomas and Hooker did a far better job of handling the assault in a way that didn't put the army in danger.
U.S. Grant, after his brilliant campaign in Mississippi in summer 1863 was ordered by the war department to take charge. He restored supplies via the “Cracker Line,” pulled in reinforcements, and planned a three-pronged assault to crack Braggs overstretched army off the heights around the city (3

Will Stancil is obnoxious at times, but jesus christ just be normal about him. He's another lib poster who is just more willing to brawl it out, which is both good and bad.

Starting to believe in the suicide of the west, but it's just a series of centrist parties ignoring or actively assisting a growing fascist movement in order to keep donors happy and keep the market steady.

A fight to determine how gentle the haves have to be to the have-nots.

The idea that the have-nots should have dignity that isn't a privilege handed to them by the haves, and rescinded just as easily, is apparently not up for debate.

Ok. I’ll go: As I was trained and trained others, US military service members are legally, morally, & ethically obligated to refuse to follow unlawful orders.

Doing so is high risk, as it is a de facto case of guilty until proven innocent — but it is a duty to refuse to follow them all the same.

"That's goes without saying in a democratic republic" is a pretty hilarious sentiment, considering the history of the country and what we've seen the last decade alone.
Yes, but that goes without saying in a democratic republic. White people will majority vote red as long as Obama remains black, even if it destroys the country. No amount of systemic reform can negate the need to fix the people.

The time for Democrats to prove their theory that fascism could be defeated by normal methods within the system was the last decade, and they failed abysmally.

I don't know how anyone can have any faith in the system which has failed every step of the way.

Some games you just have no chance to win, because the dice are not on your side.

Tonight was not one of those games. I threw away an automatic win on greed. I was struck down by Nuffle for my hubris.

Nope.

The reporter asked the question and the orange demon cut in and said Zohran didn’t have to answer.

You want to believe that actually happened but you should check the footage. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Mike Judge is mostly known for King of the Hill, a show that was full of love for small-town Texas and all its idiosyncrasies, and Beavis & Butt-Head, which was essentially a non-stop diss track for small-town Texas.
