She settled with the city after it promised to reform how it uses less-lethal munitions. But those reforms never came and Tirado (@killermartinis.bsky.social) has spent the years since struggling to hold law enforcement accountable.

Worth watching the whole thing
My history w flu. Around 74 I think, swine flu was raging. My mom's union, the Machinists at Boeing paid for flu shots for every member and their family. We all went down to the union hall (6 of us). I was 12 and probably already had flu. Got terribly sick. But NO ONE ELSE in my family got sick.
Yup, this. When our kiddo was young, our doctor (no longer our doctor!) was iffy on the flu shot. (He also loved to give antibiotics for viral infections!) So we listened, didn't get the shot. Then I got the flu and it kiiiiicked my ass. Flu shots forever after that. Give me all the vaccines.
Speaking entirely for myself: for years, I didn't really get flu shots. It was entirely because of laziness.
Then, in 2014ish, I got insanely sick — sickest I've ever been, tbh. Collapsed on my kitchen floor. Lost my sense of smell for a month.
