I don't understand a love for media that is unthinking and fanatic and uncritical. There's nothing I enjoy that I couldn't name ten issues with on the spot. That's life, that's art, that's being a huge nerd with strong opinions. Art is not consumption is not dogma.

the 2024 dem strategy was to signal as little virtue as possible in the hopes of peeling off just enough vice-leaning ghouls to eke out a win, and the result was virtue-likers staying home. i think there might be a lesson in there about how dem candidates should approach issues of right and wrong
conservatives are constantly giving their base opportunities and encouragement to help them make the world a crueler, more vicious place. thats what all that incitement to hate and violence is about! i do not understand why people think a virtuous version of this wouldnt work with a liberal base

Still living this life after almost 8 months. A professional I know who works almost exclusively with trans people said almost all of them are unemployed.

THis is actually a really good illustration of why LLMs are just...kind of not that good at a lot of the things they're sold as being good at: The thing doesn't fucking understand or know what the question is, it's doing pattern recognition and that breaks down on a long enough timescale.
