Remember when Fortnite was a PvE game and they kept it around even though it wasn't doing great and at some point someone said I dunno, let's try it as a battle royale?

Imagine if Epic had just laid the team off after like four days.

starting to feel like there's a direct relationship between the growing obsession with lifestyle hygeine (no drinking, no caffeine, no sex, obsessive working out and looksmaxxing) and the inability to meaningful moral stands on issues of actual import
Cafes across the U.S. are embracing the low- and no-caffeine lifestyle, with options that are a far cry from dusty tea bags and rewarmed decaf. nyti.ms/3XKlqoj

Folks, spreading anti-Trump parodies as if they were true just makes it easier for Trump supporters to ignore actual issues.

Did Bondi say, 'Jesus Christ would never have stormed a church' in protest of its leaders?
Users shared the alleged quote in the days after protesters disrupted a St. Paul, Minnesota, church service as part of an anti-ICE demonstration.

Me talking to developers: Perfect is the enemy of done. The game has to exist before it can be improved. Just make it good for now, and make it better later.

Me about my own work: If I don't pick the perfect way to describe the way this character shrugged I will die.

Would Your Favorite Lord Give Lyon The Sacred Stone?

I was inspired by a tweet I saw to look at the lords and think: If their best friends was possessed by a misterious rock, would they intervene?

Always easy to get satisfied by belittling or creating myths to mock historical life, because the dead can't speak.

So around a week ago the house oversight committee released some of the Epstein files but they released as a concordance style legal production which I would imagine the layperson does not know how to navigate unless they have a background in eDiscovery. Which is kind of annoying.

My brother-in-law lives in Brooklyn and is always quick to point this out. The DSA in NYC has been effectively organizing and getting people elected for a decade. Mamdani is a generational talent and the DSA infrastructure positioned him to succeed.
But populist socialism was *not* an instant win button in New York. This is the culmination of over a decade of organizing work that built the socialist movement in the city into a viable political force for the first time in almost a century.
i'm deeply glad he won but i do want to note that these are not exactly results that suggest that populist socialism is an instant win button in national politics

Zohran Mamdani is proposing some small changes to the way New York City government operates. So why does it feel like he's promising full communism on day one?

Even if you think some of Mamdani’s policy ideas are ill-conceived dorm room stuff (which I do), the level of performative panic around him just seems bizzarely, irrationally detached from any sense of what an NYC mayor can actually DO unilaterally.
Andrew Cuomo says he will continue to not live in New York City if Zohran Mamdani becomes NYC mayor.
