good message from Mikel today. Just want too much tension at the moment and it looks like the players feel it too. It can't always be about the "fogging standards." Sometimes the best thing that great players can do is enjoy playing football a bit more.

The media need to find a backbone and start asking Farage the difficult questions?

Ask him whether he feels responsible that the UK had lost its measles free status? And when he inevitably says no, ask him about the vaccine deniers he surrounds himself with.
Farage did this.

He did this when he spread misinformation about vaccines.

He did this when he allowed vaccine deniers into the Reform conference.

He did this when he allowed vaccine deniers to stand as Reform candidates.

We equate achievement w/ income. Look at how billionaires are credited with spirit, intelligence, courage, boldness, & work ethic. If this were true, it would mean their effort, brains, & hard work are unrivalled by anyone else. One look at a hospital tells you that's wrong.

The UK faces a once-in-a-generation security threat.

We are calling for Defence Bonds, open to the public, to modernise the armed forces, boost defence spending to 3% of GDP, and reduce reliance on an unpredictable US.

I do think that a possibly underrated dynamic in The Horrors is that the Right as it has reconstituted itself under Trump legitimately can’t understand sincere moral or physical courage

Every time Labour, the Lib Dems or Greens refer to Reform UK, Farage or any of their members they should instead refer to them as "the Trumpists". Every time they use the logo or any of their faces in promo, put it next to a photo of Trump. Make the public association of them with Trump Pavlovian
Nigel Farage’s support for Trump is putting off potential voters
A focus group this week found there is concern about the Reform UK leader’s relationship with the U.S. president.

i think this attitude — that all opposition is illegitimate and nothing we do can be questioned— is probably pervasive in the white house and helps explain why they keep making terrible political choices
Putin pioneered this. No opposition is legitimate. Regular, decent, “ordinary” people cannot possibly be against us because only we represent “the real people.”

Tell-tale sign of authoritarianism.

Yes, It’s Fascism
Until recently, I thought it a term best avoided. But now, the resemblances are too many and too strong to deny.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.
