Arsenal this summer took a different approach to squad building and while it is still early, it already looks like it is paying dividends and has seen a change in the patterns from what Mikel Arteta did previously.

It is not a hard rule that players only have 30-35k minutes but that is very often where things end up for players (who are good enough to even last that long).

Florian Wirtz - 2025-26 Attacking Midfielder radar

It's way too early to be drawing conclusions but not having him hit the ground running is certainly a major factor in why Liverpool have looked just good and not great.

I thought he'd take up more progression to replace TAA and it just hasn't
