Terrifying watching Reform types trying to excuse Farage from claims made by his school contemporaries. They really are really willing to overlook anything and everything. The Cult of Farage.

Watching Reform voters tie themselves up in knots attempting to refute the claims that Farage was racist & anti-Semitic at school:
‘No-one can remember that far back’ (Yes, they can, especially if they were a victim.)
‘Just child banter. Everyone has done it’ (No. I didn’t. None of my friends did.)

If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

Women are watching abusive dynamics play out on the national stage and for many it feels very, very familiar to what they’ve experienced regularly—

I hope midterms are a referendum

I know it is the least of things given how repulsive he is inside and how gross and unforgivable his actions are, but DAMN, this man is so UGLY.
Donald Trump continues to enable, support & defend KNOWN child sex traffickers & pedophiles right in front of all of us and the world. The feckless cowards in the #GOP cannot deny this any longer. Their complicity stinks like any seat Donald Trump lifts his bloated rotting carcass from. Andrew Tate

Ho hum. Another day dawns without me waking up to the news someone on my Arya Stark style list of fascists, misogynists and general bad-uns meeting their comeuppance. It is pretty sad, but I will keep hoping.
One day. I will keep the champagne on ice.

Most people huh?
I am 60; 50 yrs ago, I was mainly playing & reading books, so yes I suppose it was better for me in that regard.

How mainly people are there who were actually around & working adults then, though? How many polled? Right wing Telegraph nonsense AGAIN.

Nostalgia is a curse.
My brother had a 1965 Mini Cooper S in 1975.
Its consumption of 5 star lead packed petrol was so high, around 25 mpg, that it had to have an extra fuel tank on the other side of the car.
Fortunately, it hardly ever started.

I needed to see this today. I was rather hoping Sweep would do something especially naughty though; he was always my favourite.
Nah, this had me creasing. Sooty and Sweep running amok during a Robert Jenrick interview. 🤣🤣🤣

Refreshing. We need more of this.
Zack Polanski on President Trump, "It's difficult to call him anything other than a fool"

"This is sociopathic behaviour"

"He is toxic, misogynistic, racist"

"I'm not a fan of Trump"

Christiane Amanpour, "It's pretty clear"

Late to the party here, having only just watched the John Lewis Xmas advert. Apparently, its ‘whiteness’ has been celebrated by the usual (awful) suspects. It strikes me that those people were amongst those critics of lack of men last year.
Got it: adverts have to be all about white males. Figures.

Here in the U.K. I was woken up in the early hours by fireworks. I was a bit mystified (Guy Fawkes being this evening and very much too early); I realise now that it was probably people staying up here to wait for results and then celebrating! 🎉 🎆🎇

If your government thinks the Pope “doesn’t know what he’s talking about” when he defends migrants’ dignity, the world should see the warning sign. The US is no longer leading on human rights. It’s suppressing them.

Nigel Farage says he wants to 'raise aspiration' by cutting the minimum wage for young people (currently £10), but reducing tax for young people earning over £100k. Presumably he wants them to just ask their stockbroker fathers to fix them up with a job in The City, like he did.

I am totally sick of the BBC platforming them.

Andrew Tate has been charged with rape, human trafficking, controlling prostitution and actual bodily harm. Nigel Farage described him as "an important voice for young men". That tells you all you need to know about Farage's moral compass.

A woman is killed by a man every 3 days in the UK...

78% are murdered by a partner/ex

Yet not once have I heard Reform talk about this

Not once have I heard them back measures to protect women’s safety

In fact, they voted against them...

I am so tired of 24 hour news about small boats. I simply don’t care how many migrants arrive in the UK any more. No matter how many, they’ll never be as big a threat to British values, our way of life, or indeed women‘s safety, as the bigots who make yelling about migrants their entire personality.

The Caerphilly result is what we need to see everywhere at the next election: people coordinating to vote tactically for parties which seek a fairer, kinder, greener country.
Pushing out both those who have betrayed our trust AND those who seek to exploit that betrayal.
