So I grabbed a free copy of Melania: Devourer of Men by J.D. Boehninger initially just to be puckish not really intending to read it. But a question nagged at me is the book any good? So I read it and my answer is yes. The book is entertaining, absurd, humorous and it is still free. #booksky

Ai promises to take your idea and realize it - to fill in the blanks but writing a book is not about one idea it's a series of ideas built upon each other to create something greater - a story... your story and that process may be hard and take time but in the end I think it's worth it.

This past weekend I read 2 books. First was The Starlit Road by A. R. Ivanovich a wonderful new YA fantasy. The second was Frost Maiden: The Origin of the Snow Queen by J.P. Reedman a short novella that was an easy enjoyable read. I would recommend both to my fellow fantasy lovers. #booksky

Just realized it is the three month anniversary of the day I published my debut novel A Middle Idea. In that time I have had such wonderful compliments on it. I am incredible grateful for everyone who has given it a chance thus far and hope more people will enjoy it in the future.

I prefer when books set up what is normal before the action starts. Showing what the world, the MC and their life is like before jumping into the action. It's like the difference between wading or jumping into a lake. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Last night I read The Captive Princess: Eleanor Fair Maid of Brittany by J.P. Reedman. As a lover of historical fiction I was so drawn in I read the whole thing in one night. I found it really well written and look forward to reading more of the series.

Just finished Beyond the Mark: Ashes of the Hero by Kevin Gallant. A fun fantasy adventure. I found it to have a very anime feel to it.

Romantic it is and dark it is too yet to call it a romance would be untrue. Last night I read Where Two Rivers Meet: A Dark Romance Fantasy by Clive Culverhouse. Not really a romance in the classic sense. That said if you like Fae, fairytale horror and poetry you may enjoy this book.
