Even the Express is too embarrassed to put "patriots" without the quote marks.
They aren't "patriots" they're a racist militia.
We have already seen vigilantes on the beaches of Dover, now we see them "hunting" people in towns. These are the people Starmer talks about "understanding the concerns of". Jfc, this is worrying on so many levels.

2025's biggest truth in a single post.
Being a British parent is so weird bc you're actually worried about paying the sky high rent/mortgage & getting GP appointments but the entire press keeps telling you you're worried there's a trans person or immigrant nearby & the vat on Eton means there'll only be two skiing holidays this year

People are upset by disabled people they believe to be abusing the benefits system. But they are nothing compared to these insulation contractors paid hundreds of millions (paid through our fuel bills) for botched work that now needs more millions to undo bit.ly/4rDjg7D

The government has documented the number of homes blighted by sub-standard work for the first time.

This illegal waste dump is an immediate threat to the environment and the Environment Agency need to clean it up urgently.
Criminal gangs have built a mountain of illegal waste by the River Cherwell.

The police are calling the mega fly-tipping across the county ‘the new narcotics’. It’s time Labour clean this mess up in Oxfordshire and everywhere else.

And colossally that’s Lando!

Huge congratulations to Lando Norris on becoming Britain’s 11th Formula One World Champion. A fantastic achievement.

And well done to everyone at McLaren in Woking who powered him to the title.

it's Ofcom so the major social media platform they'll kick off with could easily be myspace
NEW: Ofcom has launched a new investigation into whether social media platforms are doing enough to identify and remove illegal terror and hate content

It will start with a detailed review of one major platform before extending to others

If Nigel Farage wanted to investigate Russian infiltration into Reform, he’d have done it already.

It’s time the Prime Minister launched a national investigation.

It has taken him a while, but he's got round to it. Good.
👏🏽"We must all now confront the reality that the Brexit deal significantly hurt our economy. We have to keep reducing frictions. We have to keep moving towards a closer relationship with the EU. And we have to be grown up about it. To accept that it will require trade-offs."👏🏽

It’s time to admit what a disaster Brexit has been.

Liberal Democrats have a plan to fix our trade with Europe to turbocharge the economy, fix the cost of living crisis and properly fund our public services.

There's going to be a lot more pain – and regrettably there *needs* to be a lot more pain – for Farage supporters before this is out.

The Farage way is costly. That's the lesson. And you will damn well learn it.
Around 26,000 of the neediest people in County Durham will have to start paying council tax next year...

About 2,400 others who already pay some council tax will lose part of their rebate.

Women and the disabled will be disproportionately affected.

Not quite what Reform UK had promised.
Council tax shock for thousands of Durham’s poorest – thanks to Reform UK
Durham will scrap full council-tax rebates, forcing 26,000 low-income working-age residents to start paying for the first time

It’s clear to anyone paying attention that Farage won’t investigate the Russian infiltration of Reform.

The Prime Minister must step up and launch a national investigation.

I can't remember seeing posts here saying "join the EU again and all the UK's problems will be solved." I do see many posts saying joining the EU again would deliver economic growth. And as the IFS says, growth not only makes us richer, it makes almost every problem easier to solve.

Today the Government had the opportunity to end the cost of living crisis, get Britain growing again and repair the £90bn Brexit black hole - by fixing our trade with Europe.

It didn't.

Brexit has cost each and every one of us £3,700 a year.

But instead of solving the problem, Labour are using Brexit as an excuse to raise your taxes.

My message ahead of the Budget: Stop blaming Brexit and start fixing it!
