New rule. Journalists aren't allowed to post puff pieces about impossible work and fitness schedules without asking stuff like "who does your laundry? Who cooks your steak and eggs? How does your dusting get done if you're out on a long run?"

Disco Objects (Compulsion), 2025

Origami paper, papier-mache, acrylic, and mirror tile

Modular origami and ‘disco objects’ (unconventionally shaped objects with reflective finishes) have long been two of my less serious creative hobbies. Every winter since I was a child, I’ve found myself (cont'd)

Regardless of how one feels about dairy I think we can all agree that we are further from God's light than we were in 1996 on this one:

I need my cyberpunk back-alley surgeon called Stryker to have named herself after Susan
"Body mods as easily obtainable as getting your ears pierced at Claries" would also have been neat. Like get your body mods from someone named Stryker around back of the corner noodle store, then go out into the neon apocalypse to like, idk be a detective who smokes dial-up noises.

This is what I looked like in 2016. It was an angry time in my life, I don’t think I acted well all the time, but ultimately I’m proud of how I saw myself through it

mrbeast should be a position like president rather than a specific guy, and we should be able to impeach — or otherwise overthrow — the current one and replace him with someone else. it’s time for us to install leftist mutual aid mrbeast. he will heal our broken nation

Hey folks Calvary Food Shelf has been helping out people in Minneapolis for 30 years, and now they’re ramping up to meet the crisis, including doing home deliveries so people don’t have to risk going out.

They’re just over halfway to their current goal—let’s get them all the way, shall we?

Dear artists, it's hard avoiding wondering if what we do is irrelevant or an insult when it's harsh, scary, dangerous & violent out there, but one thing is always true as stone: someone will need what you do, someone won't, & you won't know the difference. Err on the side of hope. Create if u can.

As a social movements scholar, I absolutely love the diversity of tactics being developed by each city, reflecting their local flavor

Portland kept it weird with inflatable costumes

Chicago protected its street vendors by buying up their food each day

Charlotte chased ICE agents into the woods

The Boston-area also has some pretty robust rapid response networks in place already. People doing this work are actively building capacity for a surge. We are ready.
This is something I've thought of as I've seen rumors Boston might be next for this. We've had weeks of the MLSP area giving us video demonstrations of best practices for handling these chucklefucks & saying Boston doesn't have MN's reputation for politeness is putting things mildly.
That’s the thing they don’t seem to be understanding: like bro, once you realize this is fubar and head out to another city, everyone has seen your whole gimmick and now is ready to be your worst nightmare it doesn’t get any better for them anywhere

Community Trash #25 (Black Rose)

Mixed media art waste (acrylic, spray paint, plastic and wood detritus) on canvas

This one is so called because I accidentally made it a similar color scheme to the Thin Lizzy album cover of the same name by Jim Fitpatrick.

1. Did you know that Girl Scouts has, for a long time, accepted trans girls and nonbinary scouts?

Trans kids are under attack. Every year, I make a thread of trans and nonbinary girl scouts you can get your cookies from.

Lets get our cookies from them this year in solidarity!
