Feds now claim a "system crash" that happened immediately after ICE was sued is the reason why 10 days of footage from inside the Broadview Detention Center has been lost.

Unreal hearing on this earlier:

ICE Says Critical Evidence In Abuse Case Was Lost In 'System Crash' a Day After It Was Sued
The government also said "we don't have resources" to retain all footage and that plaintiffs could supply "endless hard drives that we could save things to."

Yep, it’s funny when you travel and meet people, and somehow every state and region has a funny quirk of hating the place that has the most Black people nearby.
shit, speaking as a missiouri resident, if theres two places republicans despise in this state its Kansas City and St Louis

those of us laid off from Teen Vogue were really fortunate to complete our fundraising goal — the laid-off staffers at VIBE deserve the same support, as Black media outlets and journalists continue to be targeted and discriminated against in “austerity” measures
It was announced on October 16, 2025 that VIBE was "joining forces" with Rolling Stone. As a result, the majority of VIBE employees were laid off. If you have the means to give, this team could use the support! www.gofundme.com/f/support-vi...

we had to leave at 7:10 for dinner so we didn't see much content-wise beyond a Carlbom branding pitch. but we *did* see people getting harassed over their bags and then on our way out the check-in ladies were very rudely questioning some Black youth and their teacher about why they were at Sabathani
i'm told steve brandt, who is a DFL endorsed elected official, was also turned away at the DFL listening session because he had a backpack. he'd biked there, and the organizers did not tell us backpacks were banned

@dfl.org
That’s my plan too. I believe I saw a former DFL candidate trying to get in and running afoul of the unpublished rule as well

Counterintuitive: the DFL is run by people who have no idea what it's like to live in an urban area.
Turned away from the MN DFL event due to a bag policy that didn’t appear anywhere in the invitation.

The suggestion was to put my bag in my car. I took the bus

I’m curious how many people were turned away due to other bags (bike bags, groceries, diaper bags) and didn’t have storage options
