For anyone curious about why I call myself a "Professional Bodysnatcher" in my bio:
I'm a mortician's assistant, my wife is the mortician 🥰 ⚰️
Much of what I do is what the industry terms "First Calls" aka retrieving someone's body after they die. But the cops and nurses call us "Bodysnatchers"

I very strongly believe we're moving into an era where the bloated, unoptimized games of the last decade just aren't viable for consumers. Everyone should know by now that chasing impressive graphics hasn't been a viable strategy for a long time now.

Well the cash my folks gave me for crimmas was exactly enough for an RTX 5060 and 16gb of (ddr4) ram so I suppose I've future-proofed(ish) my desktop when it comes to rendering (mostly baking) in Blender for the time being.

My TV remote app that I've used for years suddenly requires an Amazon login to use
It's bad enough that Amazon doesn't make replacement remotes compatible with this 5yo TV, now I can't even put music on for my fucking kid without jumping through hoops

I finally rescued my old PC that I had given to a family member for work years ago. She brought it back to em a few months ago because it "totally died" and I hadn't had the chance to work on it before now, the good news is that, aside from being absolutely filthy, most of the components are fine.
