A few observations about all the sports-betting cases:
1. Most of them bear hallmarks of long-term investigations, so they are probably not purely a Trump administration thing. Biden DoJ started them. Trump admin is definitely putting in lots of attention to finishing them.

Baffling no call
Referees are absolutely botching this game. Quinn Hughes blatantly hooked on a potential breakaway in the dying seconds of the period, no call.
Embarrassing after they already screwed up turning what should have been a #Canucks power play into a 4-on-4.

Rough final two minutes for the Leos. Needed *one* first down there.
That said, scoreless third quarter as much a story as that failure to keep Saskatchewan under territorial pressure in game’s final stages.

One value of having articles is to have contemporaneous account for how life feels
And Dan points out in 1959, the feeling was pitcher arms were going to suffer in the coming years
In other words, every year we get the "baseball is dying" articles and "pitcher arms are collapsing". Every. Year.

It's always amusing when people think pitchers from the 1950s had invincible arms, when the attrition rate was terrible. And it was known at the time, and there were even predictions in the future that have almost come to pass by 2025.

We Breed Lions is grim and essential reading. It details the reality of the worst of hockey's broken culture, while offering a path forward.
