Oh yeah well I asked a tree and it made a weird clicking noise and added a bit of bark to my gender

Hey so this is important. Amazon is removing ALL erotica and new queer books from its Amazon associates program, which seems to be a first step towards delisting these books a la itchio.

This includes my book, your books, and the books you like to buy.

This is bad news, and we can expect worse

Everything they're doing right now is trying to bed-in anti-trans hatred so thoroughly into our laws and institutions that it becomes the standard.

They haven't accepted how swiftly the tide will move against them in the next decade.

But it's coming. Everything they built will fall.

And the thing is?

We know that this is generational. That there is a cliff-edge in anti-trans hostility across generations that means that when the current over-45s age-out of power so does the vast majority of anti-trans hatred.

This is the death throes of that hate. Their last gasp.

All of this, really.
It's really simple for me: Trad-publishing offers almost no benefit by comparison to self-pub NOW. Unless you're already a marquee name, you don't get help. With anything. At all. So I self-pub so I 1) control my content, 2) own my content, 3) don't need to worry about arbitrary gatekeeping. (1/3)
Do you think there are more pros than cons when self-publishing? I can’t get past the marketing and the worry that the story is flawed #writingq #WritingCommunity

Cretaceous seas were inhabited by several Mosasaurus species, not all of them giants.

This is one of the medium-sized Mosasaurus, M. missouriensis, an exceptional specimen found in Alberta. Lizardfish bones were in its gut contents. The prey had been bitten into swallowable chunks. 🧪
