G'd evening from the piggies! They don't like eating from the same bowl even if it is big enough for both of them 😂

This mid-20th century gadget is a money capsule from Jacksons. The pneumatic tube system handled cash throughout the store right up to its last day of trading.

The moment Kaikai grew strong enough to walk great distances, our little sprite discovered her non-negotiable: daily mud baths. Weather forecasts mean nothing. Keeper schedules are merely suggestions. When Kaikai decides it's mud time, it's mud time! swt.bio/kaikai

This is not a birth certificate and that footprint does not belong to the child discussed on the tablet. They're not even from the same city; the footprint is from Nippur, the text is from Ur.

So why did the Penn Museum bring these objects together like this since 2016?
Sumerian birth certificate. A clay tablet found at the Sumerian city of Nippur in southern Iraq.
Estimated to be around 2000-1600 BC. Contains a birth announcement, its gender, the names of its parents, and a footprint of the newborn.

“Frog,” asked Toad, “was that a true story?”

“Maybe it was and maybe it wasn’t,” said Frog.

The Squatter’s Cottage at Blists Hill was built around 1830 by miner Michael Corbett on waste land. Such cottages were common in the Coalbrookdale Coalfield. They stood on unregulated commons, with families paying a 30 shilling yearly encroachment fine for up to 60 years to be allowed to stay.

Toad walked faster. Many drops of melting ice cream flew through the air. They fell down on Toad’s head. “I must hurry back to Frog!” he cried.

The thing I miss the most about 90s/00s Internet is the idea of 'cyberspace'. A location on the Internet being a 'space' that is worth decorating, it has a culture. Like a bar that anyone can visit but it has its own personality created by both the owners and via regular patrons who go there.

How Wiradjuri constellations like the Great Celestial Emu make us look at the sky in a different way - ABC News share.google/b9lBSnCCR3rZ...
Cool stuff!
Greek astronomy is ancient; this Wiradjuri knowledge is far older
All 88 internationally recognised constellations have European origins. But First Nations astronomy tells older, beautiful stories that contain invaluable lessons and knowledge.

I'm subscribed to Ground news... and I don't necessarily regret it because it's better than using google... but some people sell it as being this "place you can trust" because it has stats like "bias" and "factuality"...
While the bias is... interesting I don't think the "factuality" lable is sound.
