I have a confession to make. Every time I finish processing an astrophoto, I think to myself, "Holy sh*t, that's really up there." It's one thing to see an image in a book or magazine or show or whatever, but to just point a system of mirrors, lenses and a camera sensor at the sky, and this happens?
Wind still blowing too hard up at the summit for me to go up and do astrophotography. At least I got my scope collimated today. Since I'm not going to get an image tonight, here's one from a few years back, inspired by @palomarskies.bsky.social image earlier. M81 thru my 10" RC. 🔭📷 #astrophotography
