A reminder that The Onion posts to Ireland! You can read it when you’re at the NCT centre and have people stare at you, for example!
Hi everybody,

It's Black Friday, a big day for us at The Onion, since we rely almost entirely on your memberships.

Our goal for 2026? More print subscribers than the Washington Post.

This is, somehow, feasible.

So sign up! A year of print is $75 for the year today. Help us do a very funny thing.

I made a mod that replaces cliffracers with Thomas the Tank Engine. I am incapable of learning lessons whenever it involves corporations, because I fundamentally do not view toy company CEOs or media CEOs as people.

Council tenants and HAP tenants must organise to defeat this rent hike!

Join CATU, stand with your neighbours, and revive the spirit of the 1970s rent strike: “No way, we won’t pay.”

I see when England sneezes the Irish government is still intent on Ireland catching a cold.

Good to know they aren't even hiding the fact that our policies are still set by Westminster.
By Farage at that.

I met a UCC student here last night paying €2k/month for private accommodation in Cork city

I learnt students are paying gentrified prices for damp mouldy houses, not fit for purpose with landlords difficult to deal with

Time to get involved in Cork Student Housing Cooperative

Have just encountered a legendary arts / media figure and they are reading the Telegraph.
