Exeter is for Everyone ❤️

The far right tried to intimidate and sow hatred. Devon showed them what community looks like.

More data centres are coming to the UK, with British citizens being expected to foot the electricity and water bill. A textbook example of socialism for corporations, cutthroat capitalism for the public.
Data centres to be expanded across UK as concerns mount - BBC News
The number of data centres is set to jump by a fifth in the coming years, figures seen by the BBC suggest.

Semenyo was abused by a fan who leaned out of his seat when Semenyo was about to take an attacking long throw on the near side a few mins before the stoppage. #LIVBOU

@solioanalytics.com Hi. Really enjoying playing around with the tool—such an interesting and complex yet intuitive way of approaching optimisation. Great work! Can I just ask, how do I restrict the projection table to fewer than 12 GWs?

For clarity, the code isn't C1724G—the C is just to cancel any previous presses, so the code is 1724G and beginning by pressing C is just best practice.

The State Department, led by Marco Rubio, is canceling scholarships for nearly 200 American professors and researchers based on their research topics, which include climate change, gender, and race.

If article 8 rights don't apply when you're taking a piss, when DO they?
Here it is... the smoking gun that should bring down this entire EHRC committee.

Me bending down to pick up the several parcels the low-cost courier has just photographed strewn across our doorstep and saying "what has she been buying now then?!?" even though all the labels clearly have my name on them.

Me thanking the delivery driver and before closing the door calling "food's here" up the stairs even though they know full well that I'm eating alone.

Great to see Tom Banton back playing for England. He scores lots of runs of the face of the bat, unlike his dad Pato Banton who was always bye bye bye bye bye bye, bye bye bye bye bye bye. Still, Pato did often help his teams recover when slightly behind—not a full reversal, just a baby comeback.

1/5 All true. But it overlooks the most important wedge driving conservatives apart over the last 60 years: race. Macmillan’s government introduced the 1962 Commonwealth Immigrants Act restricting Black and brown people’s immigration.

STOP USING GENERATIVE AI.

Seriously.

Listen to Alex please.
Was giving a presentation on the material harms of AI. Got 45min in before someone interrupted demanding to be told they could still use it. We just listened to an Ethiopian woman talk about the vile content she saw while data training, and this person just did not care. That dismissal is common.
At the end of the day, we tell you that generative AI is built on unethical copyright theft, exploits and underpays its workers, causes catastrophic environmental damage, and produces increasingly terrible looking shit, and you just decide not to care.
