Besides all the bad shit that neo-Crusader Christian nationalist Pete Hegseth's tattoos illustrate he believes in, let's take a moment to smile at one of them. On one arm he has what he has described as "Yehweh - Jesus in Hebrew" which he claims was done by "the only tattoo artist in Bethlehem".

I'm reading @versobooks.bsky.social 's new collection of Rose's lectures on the Frankfurt School and lamenting time and frustration spent trying to understand and teach that material without her help. Her writing may be ardous to engage, but geez her students were lucky.

They say 'safeguarding' a lot, but phrases like "no-one loves children more than their parents" make it extremely clear they have no interest in or understanding of proper safeguarding and just use it as a cipher for ideological control. This poisonous politics puts vulnerable children in danger.
