So why are we fast tracking white supremacist immigration from South Africa and harassing & detaining a new British mom who was in the process of getting a green card?
ICE arrests, detains British woman with US husband and newborn when she shows up for her green card interview. She’s now in a detention center, separated from her 6-month-old. No criminal record. She had overstayed her visa.

Some people can march to the beat of their own drummer, but most can't or won't.

So I don't see the question as being about 'easy' or 'hard' but about clear roads to valuable, affirming roles in society which do not require exceptional ability.

The lawlessness and recklessness are just as much a part of their fascist intimidation for minority control as their gestapo violence so its demonstration always extends from scapegoats to anyone who gets in their way.

Hard for me to say how this is different from Fox News's entire business model, except that it's less sophisticated. This is transparently and obviously bad — and Elon should ban these accounts — but the spirit here of trading rage for money is pretty much a lot of right-wing media.

You can say ICE is being used as a political cudgel to demolish democracy, or you can recognize that’s all they ever have been since their inception.
Attorney General Catherine Hanaway (R) publicly announced she has referred the state’s grassroots referendum campaign to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), claiming without evidence that canvassers are “employing illegal aliens” to collect signatures to overturn the mid-decade redraw.

Every goddamned day it’s a new exhibit for why meritocracy has never been a thing in America, and how the very worst people constantly fail upwards despite their obvious unfitness.
neither of these people should ever work in journalism again and New York magazine should reexamine everything she ever wrote

RFK should, of course, never work anywhere at all

I love it when people come up with creative ways to expand awareness, education, & engagement. Evil never stops pushing the envelope. We need to have that same boundless determination to defeat it.

Just a brief, inconvenient interaction of having a gun pointed into your car and your windows smashed, because you are decent human being who does not support tyranny by the dumbest, most racist dipshits they could find.
Dipshit is smashing out a car window with his gun, barrel first. Just rogue, cowboy stiff.

There were two US citizens in the car. They were apprehended and detained for “obstructing” ICE by honking their horn to let people know ICE was in the neighborhood.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.
