This is a common response to QA in particular. 😮💨 As a Quality Engineer, I’m in a lot of meetings and spend time strategizing, documenting, and negotiating for Minecraft. It’s more about collaboration between stakeholders and drilling into specific screens or user flows than playing games all day.
“Wow so you get to play games all day?” as a reaction to me being a game dev still has the power to make me instantly need a nap
What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!

Ah, I hadn't noticed that Moonring added some paid DLC. Base game is still free, but you can pay for an optional 100-floor megadungeon.
Also there's a sequel in the works, which will actually cost money. Which is fair as the first one was six years of work.
