Amazon has had many opportunities to create dubbing projects filled with authentic storytelling, emotional connection, and believability. Instead they have chosen to create AI slop dubs of Banana Fish, Vinland Saga, and No Game No life. Many are calling these dubs "insulting" and "disrespectful".

Welp, a second AI dub on Amazon has apparently been found, and it's a show that already had a perfectly normal (albeit non-union) dub: No Game No Life.

… Hot garbage. That’s the most polite way I can describe these “AI performances.” The fact someone had to listen to this lifeless, tone-deaf slop and decided this passed quality control is just… But it seems when you get rich in cents, you become poor in sense.

As much as I would love to do an audio adaptation of Dracula one day, I don’t think it’s needed at this time. We already have some damn good Dracula audio dramas like Re:Dracula, Dracula 2004, Dracula the Danse Macabre, and The Holmwood Foundation.

Is the reason companies are still investing in AI is because of the sunken cost fallacy? That is literally the only way I can why, despite Ai (specifically genAI) being a failure, more and more companies are implementing it.
