It's a bit unsettling to study for hours for an exam and then just skip to walking out hours later with no memory of the exam itself, lol
I'm sure it went fine and I can figure it out later, I'm just like what was all that studying and practicing for if I wasn't even the one there 😭

The most brilliant thing the tech industry did was get people to forget how to use a computer.
Piracy is so easy. It's so simple to not use things like Netflix and set up a Plex server instead.
It's so easy to mod a GameCube or Wii rather than use a Switch 2.
But tech skills have almost died out.

Someone straight up tried to tell me that speedrunner culture has ruined gaming because it seeks instant gratification.
Oh yeah, the people who replay the same games thousands of times to shave a fraction of a second off their times are TOTALLY in it to feel immediately rewarded. Sure thing.

I feel like many people don't know how hard it already is to be disabled and try to get these accomodations. And that adding more and more barriers probably isn't an answer to anything.
Trust me, if you go from able bodied to disabled it's a nightmare world.

Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

he basically didn't tell me anything else in the meeting, he just said he'll tell me more about the timelines etc sometime next week
he was more like "are you okay? you're not too upset, right?" likely because I started crying in the original meeting 😭

I think it's just this house is cold, like I was never cold in the apartment likely because it's a smaller space so it would be filled with heat easier

like my manager specifically scheduled a meeting to tell me I'm not getting enough done reliably enough, and he said he's going to talk to HR

and like the next competition isn't until the end of January, like why have the move up deadline be two months before it?
