Urbek City Builder is a really clever little game, and maybe the funniest part is that you the (presumably) socialist city planner are like, hmm, I think we need some anarchist associations, bars, and communes, better plop them far away from the cops to build self-organization!

Finished Deep Sixed, neat little game which allllmost scratches the “spaceship maintenance sim” itch I’ve had for ages. Still more goofy minigame than anything resembling a proper fake engineering problem tho I’d say? Will try Tin Can soonish

The AI hype cycle is even better than the blockchain or metaverse hype cycles because any functionality can just be rebranded as AI. Background erase in a photo editor? AI. Procgen tools for environ art based on copious pre-made assets? AI. Reactive NPC dialogue? That's an AI. BETTER INVEST NOW

I feel like I'm losing my whole mind seeing these "using spellcheck is the same as using genAI to write your whole entire book" takes in the SFWA discussion.
