The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

Farage has the unbelievable nerve to talk at Davos about Britain’s “moral decline”.

This repulsive piece of shit IS Britain’s moral decline. He’s betrayed our country for self-interest, prejudice and greed. Shame on everyone who’s allowed that.

A white British father and son BOTH raped the same child and pled guilty to multiple counts of Sexual assault.

This has been in the press for 2 days.

The Mirror is the only National newspaper to report on it…

And THAT’s why people have such a skewed perception of the links between race and SA🤷🏼‍♀️

The UK’s laziest Councillor?

Reform UK’s Councillor Shaun Knowles in Northumberland has been paid £9340.67 since becoming a councillor.

An FOI has shown he’s sent 2, TWO emails since May!

He’s attended just 1 meeting (in Sept) since elected.

Reform UK wasting tax payer money.

This is what happens when you put a preening, lazy, populist, dilettante in charge of a country.

Johnson was completely out of his depth and more concerned with his pathetic perceived popularity than leading this country through the greatest crisis since 1939.

A man who spent decades plotting his way to the top - constantly comparing himself to Churchill with all the subtle grace of a sack of broken glass in a cement mixer.

And what did we get? A hair ruffling Charlatan, who stood about dithering while hundreds of thousands got sick and died.

LBC doing its best to stir up hate for Doctors now. Slowest Ferrari ever brings on the net tax takers to moan about how a service they don’t pay for needs to pay the Drs less that.2008 - my advice to young Drs is go now and start a great life abroad.

Painful to watch, but revealing, too, of the tactical problem for the Tories of pitching Reform-like messages whilst also trying to differentiate themselves from Reform. And good to see dogged questioning from Lewis Goodall.
Lewis Goodall pressing Chris Philp on the difference between what Sarah Pochin said and what Robert Jenrick said about 'white faces'.

Good overview of the current electoral situation in the UK. Short but packs a lot in.
As I said in yesterday's post there's a scenario where first past the post turns very bad for Labour and PR is very much in their interest.

It's almost as if 2024's massive rejection of mealy-mouthed, downward-spiral, centre-right, blame-the-poor, end-game-capitalism, austerity-obsessed politics was a signal to Labour that the country was desperate for something else.
Caerphilly, Senedd constituency by-election result:

PC: 47.4% (+19.0)
REF: 36.0% (+34.2)
LAB: 11.0% (-34.9)
CON: 2.0% (-15.3)
GRN: 1.5% (+1.5)
LDEM: 1.5% (-1.2)
GWL: 0.3% (+0.3)
UKIP: 0.2% (+0.2)

Plaid Cymru GAIN from Labour.
