That's absolutely the heart of it. People would be horrified if they understood the animal agriculture industry but give them a greenwash label like this and they don't have to think about it.

Meanwhile a new paper shows that the oil and gas industry received a $900billion boost to profits (globally, quoted companies) post the Ukrainian invasion. No blame attached there though, because that's who funds them.

Interesting article from Nature showing that a large number of those winning science and medicine Nobel prizes did so outside their birth country. The US being by far the greatest beneficiary.

It's true, but for those who don't look behind the headlines I think this framing hides the fact that we are talking about a decline from 95% to 85%. So it remains dominant.
