I don't think he understands what an expert is. Or science. Or anything for that matter.

The Wildlife Trusts have emailed members asking them to write to their MP and offering free postcards for the purpose.

May be outside your field but do you know whether UK standards would also allow this? Or are they stricter?
markcnorwich.bsky.social
Am I the only person who finds it incredible that haven't already sanctioned everything associated with Russia already.

Red tractor is pure greenwash. Thank you for calling it out.
markcnorwich.bsky.social
That's absolutely the heart of it. People would be horrified if they understood the animal agriculture industry but give them a greenwash label like this and they don't have to think about it.

So difficult to understand why they didn't give him the Nobel Peace Prize

Ironically we might not need quite so many migrants if all the flag wavers had more than a couple of else's between the lot of them.

OK @timclare.bsky.social I'm only up to page 10 of The Ice House and you hit me with the horror of 'shoebris'. What?

The bogeyman is coming to get you.

Reminder, being anti-fascist is a good thing, as is being woke.

Salmon farming is an environmental disaster on so many different levels.

Meanwhile a new paper shows that the oil and gas industry received a $900billion boost to profits (globally, quoted companies) post the Ukrainian invasion. No blame attached there though, because that's who funds them.

So woke. All these freedoms and rights. I'm sure we don't need them do we Kemi.

Interesting article from Nature showing that a large number of those winning science and medicine Nobel prizes did so outside their birth country. The US being by far the greatest beneficiary.

You might debate whether it is a country, but the Isle of Man (a British crown dependency) has had 100% of both its land and territorial sea designated a UNESCO Biosphere reserve since 2016.

How do we know that there really are lung diseases? Maybe the drug companies just dreamt them up to sell more products.

People didn't vote for Truss. Like Sunak and May she was foisted on us by the geriatric membership of the Tory party.

I assume hamburger will also be banned when it refers to a beef product.

Truly scary. The question is how far will they drag the global economy down when it pops.
markcnorwich.bsky.social
It's true, but for those who don't look behind the headlines I think this framing hides the fact that we are talking about a decline from 95% to 85%. So it remains dominant.

It's Prime Day so here's your regular reminder that:

- Amazon has been exposed for throwing away millions of unused products each year
- Amazon emits MORE CO2 than Hong Kong & Denmark
- Jeff Bezos earns more in 1 MINUTE than many of his workers do in a year

Overconsumption is KILLING our planet
