BUT this is not the end. Exploration can go ahead, but there are several more approval stages before oil can be produced. The judge has stressed the govt MUST properly account for ocean harms at every step, & that this verdict does not mean oil production should go ahead ❌🔽

🚨 BREAKING: The 28 oil & gas exploration licences we legally challenged have just been ruled lawful by the High Court. This means exploration can go ahead, despite 3/4 of the licences sitting inside marine PROTECTED areas - wildlife havens home to porpoises, puffins & seals 🐬

It is not unreasonable to answer “yes”
Why do they want us to leave the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR)?

The Government moots leaving the ECHR as a pragmatic solution to an immigration “crisis”, but is there a more sinister motive behind the push?

Before algorithms, there was old fashioned bias
Today's 70% fall in net migration to 205,000 was not one of the six stories in BBC ten o'clock news.

Ta massive assymetry in whether rises in immigration and falls in immigration are considered newsworthy by broadcasters

Down by 140k isn't thought to be.

Up by 140k undoubtedly would be.

Always hard to know why, but this is so much better than the figures for the previous government
📈Today, 28 November 2025, 67 out of the 516 Crown courtrooms in England & Wales will not be sitting.
That's 13% of them.
