All of my dogs are rescues & have been amazing. Please adopt. So many need homes, so many perfect dogs are there just bc human-lives change

If you need a dog that fits your lifestyle but are worried you can't get enough info from a shelter, talk to foster groups: They can match a dog to your life!

Magfest has injected a shot of joy into the arm of my soul that is surely not going to last until next year’s event but is absolutely going to help me get my ass into gear bettering myself and improving my life at home in the meantime. Physically exhausting but mentally invigorating.

There’s a GoFundMe for Jonathan Ross’s legal expenses for murdering Renee Good.

This violates GoFundMe’s Terms of Service. Everyone must report it.

A thread on how to do that 🧵

This is so real, they tried it this morning in Bloomington. They stopped a man, people started honking horns, they split up to fuck with everyone else, which brought more attention and more noise, people got out of their cars and started filming, they left. They're cowards.
obviously not in the sense that it’s stopping everything, but they are being stalled so much by trying to find places where they aren’t watched, wasting so much manpower and resources on crowd control and even arresting observers they know will just get released. i am so proud of everyone

This is simply not technically possible. You cannot generate enough writing in-house to train an LLM. You cannot generate enough art in-house to train a GAN. People who think they have a model "trained on our own material" are using a base model of mass-scraped data, unknowingly or disingenuously.
Larian CEO says Divinity could have gen AI assets in it but only if the tools are trained on the studio's own data.

"If we use a GenAI model to create in-game assets, then it'll be trained on data we own."

ICE is able to track any phone without a warrant or subpoena because this system does not rely on cell-tower signals, but on "voluntarily disclosed" information from all sorts of apps you've given location permissions to. Ever wondered why an app needs your location? To sell it, of course.
New: we've obtained material explaining how an ICE surveillance system, called Webloc, works. Draw shape on a map, see all phones available there, follow them home. All without warrant

I also need to highlight someone else’s contribution to the Magfest museum this year: a slew of Japanese keitai with games on them! These were staples of Japanese gaming pre-smartphone, and it’s rad to see them presented here on their original hardware.
