After a few more levels I think Kirby Air Riders contains every single thing I hate about car combat games ratcheted up to a speed that makes it feel even worse. Like these big, dumb boss fights against giant tanks and stuff feel terrible.

I appreciate that one of the three main characters in Ghost Busters is named Kong and it isn't the gorilla, though why are the other two characters named Spencer and Tracy? Did they just think that kids of the mid-70s were going to find a Spencer Tracy reference hilarious?

This is why I think spending time on slick production for a video podcast is a giant waste. The main benefit to a video podcast is it lives on YouTube and a decent number of people like to ingest things that way. They push play and tab away from it immediately. I could be nude, no one would know.

My daughter started playing Kirby Air Riders without me and I remember exactly zero about the original game other than that it only used one button. Every time she got stuck and handed it to me it was a weird, different task and the only thing they all had in common was that they all felt awkward.

Heater broke overnight. Coldest day of the year so far, naturally. Kids woke up shivering, that sort of thing. Heater kicked right back on as soon as the sun came up. Looking forward to having someone come out today and say "looks like it's working!"
