So, Altman’s ‘Popeye’ is a low-key remake of ‘McCabe & Mrs. Miller,’ right?

The subtext in JD Vance asking for "patience" on the economy: When leaders stop talking about current conditions and jump straight to rosy forecasts, they’re signaling the present isn’t defensible. That’s your cue to scrutinize the numbers, not just the narrative.

There are many analog games that exist in this space, but videogames would rule.
There should be more games inspired by avant-garde stage design.

I mean, good pecan pie hits.
I think Pecan Pie is one of those things that is divisive now because it’s just a blob of sugar with nuts on it but to someone 150 years ago who ate shoes it was probably like having 12 orgasms at once

This is one of the few good uses of corporate tax breaks around. Lots of solid work for talented union labor and lots of business for other local artists and businesses. Seems win-win to me every time.
The effort is expected to bring about 3,700 jobs to Pennsylvania as HBO estimates investing $194.1 million into the state economy, including hiring local crews and paying for hotel accommodations.
HBO crime drama ‘Task’ receives $49.8 million tax credit to film in Pa.
This is the largest tax credit the Shapiro administration has awarded to a show through the Film Production Tax Credit Program

Was teaching middle-schoolers how to design Twine storygames, and one of the kids was *struggling* and on the verge of tears. Told him to put down his laptop, walked him to the whiteboard, and diagramed out the logic. He sat down, worked it out, and did a little sly fist pump. Ah, teaching!

Not often that I can describe my experience of a David Cronenberg movie as heartbreaking, but 'The Shrouds' is exactly that. The scenes between Vincent Cassel's Karsh and Diane Kruger as the phantasmic but profoundly embodied memory of his deceased wife Becca are so beautiful, sad, and sympathetic.
