dasher | noun | one that dashes
dancer | noun | one that dances
prancer | noun | one that walks or moves in a spirited manner

Ok, those three are easy to understand.

I love both of these practices and will work on my icy delivery over winter break.
While I have not had the chance to do this with faculty, asking “And you are?” in a curious tone to administrative staff (always men) who do not introduce themselves before asking questions has always been enjoyable.
One of my favorite things that happens in academia is when one academic name-drops another academic who they think is super famous & the third academic (who is supposed to be impressed) says, nonchalantly, “Who’s that?”

Every time this happens I feel joy, even when I’m the one name-dropping.
