As a Jew it doesn’t seem that hard to understand that if people are protesting outside a synagogue because they think it’s pro-Israel, that’s antisemitic but if they’re protesting outside a synagogue because it’s hosting an event encouraging people to move to illegal settlements, that’s fair game.

A federal judge has dismissed the indictments against NY state Attorney General Letitia James and former FBI director James Comey, ruling that Lindsey Halligan – who brought both of the indictments – was improperly appointed.

Here's the order dismissing the James case without prejudice:

One way I know bikes aren't dangerous to pedestrians is when I'm biking and have the light, and someone is jaywalking, they'll keep going and not even break their stride.

Meanwhile, when I'm driving, they'll back up to the sidewalk or speed up to cross the street.

Breaking character: I am open to the idea the media's coverage of Biden's age and mental acuity was fair or perhaps not even tough enough. But the fact that it was so much tougher than the coverage of Trump's (more severe) mental decline is damning and I can't see how anyone could argue otherwise.

My main concern is cost (time, money, and attention) against a strong incumbent in a not-so-friendly DSA area, and for what goal? Yet another DSA Congressman?

I'm just not sure it's worth it. Let him keep destroying the mainstream Dem image, while we pick up the back.
Tonight, Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is attending a DSA forum to try to convince the socialist organization not to endorse City Council Member Chi Ossé's planned congressional run against House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. www.cityandstateny.com/politics/202...

No strong opinion either way on Chi running, (I personally lean against endorsement but it's not my chapter), but what a crazy moment in history to be able to read "NYC mayor elect to attend a DSA forum, as a member, to advocate for one policy over another"

Why is NYCDOT still funding this garbage?

Research is clear: These "please drive nicely" PSAs don't change driver behavior. They're a waste of taxpayer dollars.

The big problem with centrists isn't that they won't win. They might.

The problem is that they won't use the power we give them to create enough change to prevent the fascists from winning next time.

Only the leftists will push for things that keep the fascists away for good.
This is could well be a historic midterm for Democrats.

Don’t waste it on centrists who won’t come through when it matters. Run vocal progressives.

You won’t end Trumpism without anti-corruption crusaders and warriors for social and economic justice who believe in taxes & big, universal programs.
Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵
