Weird, none of the other city/state/federal agencies I cover have ever called my reporting "going after" them
Aaaand we got a Streetsblog shoutout! "DOT is the agency that is the only one that has the newspaper Streetsblog dedicated to going after the agency, I love it it makes me stronger," said Ydanis as part of a response to a question about how he gets things done.

Good that this is (finally) moving. But let's note that 500 sites in a city our size is a toe in the water, nothing like meeting citywide needs.

London is an order of magnitude ahead of this target already (~5,000 sites, and not counting 🚲 parking at transit sites - more of a no-brainer there)

DOT is holding a "State of the Agency," which so far has been mostly people heaping praise on outgoing commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez.

Press was also not invited to this event.
