This is another effort that has taken a HUGE amount of local activism, led by community folks who care.

It CAN be done. Get involved where you live and push back.

Read this whole astonishing document. it should be taught as an object lesson in what volunteering to assist a fascist government does to your mind, body, and soul.

a Republican witness in the GOP's "Somali Scammers" hearing details how he drives by childcare centers and looks at how many footprints in the snow there are to determine how many kids are there. Psycho stuff.

There is more than one reason but yes-- destroying labor power/rights is a big one. Demogoguic would-be dictators always attack one or more outsiders. Whatever the politics but esp. fascist ones. All authoritarians will do this. Immigrants are the easiest target.

You can't train malice out of people. Ten year veterans are murdering people in our streets. They threw an 8 month pregnant woman in medical distress on a deportation flight, putting her life at risk.

Text from ICE officare about shooting a US citizen. You don't rein in this kind of behavior. You cut it out.
Abolish ICE.

You can't "rein in" the gestspo. Stop funding ICE then work to abolish ICE. The ICE "reforms" you talk about are meaningless BS.

Stop talking for people you are OBVIOUSLY not listening to.

It's one thing to pay no attention to us, but stop putting false words in our mouths to sell something or to make yourself feel better. You are not meeting the moment.

Defund ICE. Abolish ICE. Prosecute ICE.

Let me stop you right there. We don’t want to just rein in ICE & DHS. We want you to dismantle the DHS and defund ICE completely. It’s not needed. It’s not wanted. Are you going to listen to the American people, your Dem constituents, and do what we ask? Or keep playing this old game where we lose?

Are they, Chuck? Withholding funds for the "president"'s paramilitary police isn't going to stop them from terrorizing communities and murdering people. They must be abolished.

When black women say that their biggest accomplishment last year was that they had a child and actually lived to raise them, they are not lying.
Alabama has the worst maternal mortality in the United States at 60 deaths per 100K live births. For reference, California has 18 deaths per 100K live births.

But Dr. Oz thinks it’s “cool” that American citizens do not have access to good reproductive healthcare in the wealthiest nation in history.
Dr Oz: "Alabama has no OBGYNs in many of their counties, so they're doing something pretty cool. They're actually having robots do ultrasounds on these pregnant moms."
