“It’s not anti-Semitic to say that what Israel is doing is wrong.” Spot on, Gary. It’s anti-human to not say that what Israel is doing is wrong.

We will remember those who let this happen.....
Gary Lineker on Gaza, "It's the worst thing I have seen in my lifetime. Constant images day in, day out of children losing their lives."

"But the minute you raise your voice against it you get accused of being a supporter of Hamas."

In Lebanon. Can hear the Israeli drone constantly now. I’ve only been back for a day but folks here deal with it 24/7, for months. It’s psychological torture. You can even see it, just flying around. The Israelis want to let everyone know that they can kill whoever they want whenever they want.

All this froth and indignation about Rachel Reeves and Keir Starmer "lying" ought to remind us of how the press unfailingly called out Boris Johnson's apparent inability to ever tell the truth. Strangely, I can't bring up those memories or recall the headlines. Can you?

Precisely
Amnesty International warned on 27 November, that “The ceasefire risks creating a dangerous illusion that life in Gaza is returning to normal…. the world must not be fooled. Israel’s genocide is not over.”

The budget didn't bother the powerful.

No windfall tax on banks. Govt subsidy of £23bn+ continues.

No windfall tax on energy companies, £125bn profit since 2020.

Corporate profiteering and subsidies continue. No curbs on corporate welfare.

85,500 have wealth of £2.8 trillion, hardly touched.
The government’s budget is simply managing decline
The budget does little to improve living standards or facilitate sustained economic growth

We seem to be collectively forgetting that the entire point of a Tory press is to undermine a Labour government, regardless of the actual facts of what that Labour government is doing or how many missteps it is making.
I’m enjoying the shuddering 180 from “Rachel Reeves should resign because the economy is in the toilet and we are all doomed” to “Rachel Reeves should resign because the economy is not in the toilet and we are not all doomed”. It really is the perfect reverse ferret.

Somehow this got missed off the "Benefit Street" front pages today
70% of the additional spending from removing the two-child limit will go to families who are in work. This is targeting support for low-income working households who are being priced out of a decent standard of living despite doing everything asked of them.

The UK, where the day after a decision to take half a million children out of poverty, the media & political world has been full of sneering at those same children & their families, labelling them as ‘Benefits Street’, while the same people are moaning about a tax on £2m mansions. Shameful stuff.

The way Palestine Action ban was approved by MPs has been raised in the High Court, with Dame Victoria Sharp noting 2 unrelated groups were on the same order

She says MPs may have been "reluctant" to vote against it but the home sec lawyer says the court should be "cautious" giving that any weight
Many MPs demanding explanation on why two other groups are on same banning order

Labour MP Kim Johnson says: "Lumping Palestine Action together with other two obscure groups to ensure it is proscribed is a disgraceful manipulation of parliamentary procedure"

About time too, the rest of the world needs to isolate Israel now
France has announced that it will cut diplomatic relations with Israel, citing the deaths of innocent Palestinians in Gaza as the reason for the decision. This drastic move marks a major shift in Middle East diplomacy and could influence how other countries respond amid escalating regional tensions.
