Absolutely agree. Corporal punishment of children, either from a caregiver or a school, is wrong. It is ineffective. But most importantly, it is fucking wrong.

My GP wanted to see me again, but I could only make an appointment this way.

If I needed to see them today, it would be a whole other thing.

Not sure if this is a Wales thing or just my surgery's thing.

I needed a GP appointment for next week 3 weeks ago.
I couldn’t possibly make it then.
So I have to call on a Tuesday to request one for next week.
I’m currently 27th in the queue.

I’m a doctor, and even I can barely navigate this overburdened system.

What chance do patients have?

If I walk up to a fully grown adult who’s acting like a twat & slap them, it’s assault.

But if it’s the smallest, weakest, most vulnerable person in my family, someone who depends on me entirely for love & safety, some would call it discipline.
