Trump: "Christians and more, think of this, more than twice as likely foster care they'll adopt the general population. They adopt to it so easily. When they get out, they adopt to it like it's become second nature. It's amazing."

I love the fact that the Telegraph tried to cover the Rachel Reeves chess 'truth' story, and had to include the fact that even their own chess correspondent thinks it is utter bollocks.
I think if i won the under-14 title for the British Women’s Chess Association (BWCA) Girls Championship, you would probably hear me say quite a bit i was the champion. The Telegraph's own chess correspondent points out here why Reeves's is quite right to do so www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/202...

X is clearly in systemic breach of its UK legal obligations too, if the issue were looked into by those with the legal responsibility to scrutinise & secure compliance
🚨
I am hearing from multiple sources that the EU Commission is announcing its first DSA fine tomorrow against X on ad transparency, blue check & dark pattern, and researcher access to data.

The fine is in the "100s of millions of Euros."

Elon about to get big mad.

What even is the point of arresting him? Trump is a thousand people deep into dishing out pardons for J6.

Public smoking bans just got in under the wire, too. Younger folks might not realize how rare they used to be and how hard they were to enact.
it is MIRACULOUS that we got rid of lead paint and asbestos when we did. if we had tried that today, there would be people whining about how we're restricting their rights.
Bring back residential-use lead paint, you cowards.

Last year Sky News was rending its garments over Starmer's free eyeglasses: WHAT INFLUENCE DID LORD ALLI BUY?

Now, RefUK get £9m from a crypto bro, they have not one word about the donor's interests; just BRAVO NIGEL, barely concealed glee, and "what a huge boost... money goes where momentum is". 🤡

It very much is random if your accusations of racism is based on people thinking Jefferies is shit at his leadership job. And thus, the rest of my point stands, whether you turned off replies or not.
Calling out racism isn’t “random.” It usually comes from lived experience. If someone reacts with instant defensiveness instead of reflection, it does say something. “A hit dog hollers” speaks to accountability, not garbage behavior.

Take care.

Most probably don’t realise that before Thatcher 42% of people lived in council housing - now it’s only 6%. There is a housing crisis and over 300,000 are homeless as a result of her policies. The damage she did to this country is immense and irreversible yet she is viewed by so many as an icon.
I’ve never understood the adulation people have for Thatcher. She was a heartless monster who asset-stripped an entire country and squandered the money to buy votes. The idea that she was some sort of economic genius is farcical and the terrible state of the country today is her legacy.

since ryan disabled replies, i'll pose my question to him here: were you recording your conversations with olivia without her knowledge?

Yeah, I am an incredibly jaundiced “am probably voting [spit] Lib Dem until this pairing in Downing Street are gone” disaffected left winger who is *bristling* at the inanity and insanity of the press approach to Starmer and Reeves
I, a person who wants Rachel Reeves to not be chancellor of the exchequer, am increasingly tired of the number of shitty ways that the press are trying to stop her being chancellor of the exchequer

Just heard a clip on #bbcradio5 of Jess Phillips speaking in parl't yesterday about the Angiolini inquiry and my god, tackling violence against women & girls is basically her political life's work, and she could not have sounded any more over it if she tried. What has being in this govt done to her?

We didn't do anything wrong, and also it was the fault of "the fog of war"
Q: So you didn't see any survivors after that first strike?

HEGSETH: I did not personally see survivors. The thing was on fire. This is called the fog of war. This is what you in the press don't understand. You sit in your air conditioned offices and plant fake stories in the Washington Post

You have the right to record ICE.

You have the right to film any operation happening in public as long as you do not interfere or impede it.

Your camera is proof, but keep a safe distance. KEEP RECORDING.

Why is British politics so lousy with people who have no interest in solving problems?
Look how visibly excited Robert Jenrick is by his brilliance as a statesman; how high on his own supply.

It is astonishing that this bitter, angry, talentless bingo-caller is considered a serious prospect in a major party. If he or Badenoch are the best they can do, what does it say about the rest?
