IMO I don't even think we can say the country and its infrastructure is experiencing "pen testing."
It's more like it's all been booby trapped. Every bad actor impacting our safety could be "raptured" overnight, and we'd still need to finish the dismantling and start fresh.

I keep seeing people asking why the police aren't arresting ICE or protecting people from ICE and I desperately need you to understand that the police aren't protecting you from ICE because protecting YOU is not and never has been their function and that's why we need to defund them.

Struggle's an abstraction to them. They can conceptualize a news article. But they sanitize their entire lives of poor people. Including online. They don't do mutual aid because they see no mutuality or commonality. For them, people who need help are distant objects of pity.
So many bougie people are so bougie they have zero contact with people in need, struggle's just not part of their lives or their circle. They can give to officially vetted bougie charities. But they can't even befriend real people who have a lot less than them. They never know how to be effective.

My dog loves on everyone and just expects it back. I never thought about it like this and now won't stop thinking it.

We could just stop paying taxes that are used to kill us and fund genocides. The 10 people still working at the IRS are kind of busy and likely don't care much.
