ICE promised to only detain "the criminals and undocumented people," but internal data shows a different story. In March 2025, 48.1% of those detained had no criminal record. By November 2025, this figure grew to 73.6% with no criminal conviction.

The Republican Speaker, who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution, says it's more important to round up their list of undesirables as quickly as possible than whether anyone's rights are violated.
Republicans: The 2nd Amendment is sacrosanct and absolute

Also Republicans: The 4th Amendment is just bureaucratic red tape and you must allow our paramilitary force to storm your home

Let's understand this.

Democrats vote by mail.
Because they trust the process.
Because they don't want to waste hours standing in line to cast a ballot.

Republicans are generally older and don't trust the process.
So they will wait in line all day to vote.

In-person is fast.
By mail is slow.

This was a remarkably crazy response by Mike Johnson's standards. He's going full "stop the steal" and clearly would line up behind any effort Trump makes to rig the midterms and 2028 elections
Mike Johnson on Trump calling for Rs to "nationalize" elections: "We had 3 Republicans who were ahead on election day in last cycle & every time a new tranche of ballots came in they just magically whittled away until their leads were lost. It looks on its face to be fraudulent. Can I prove it? No"

Ohhhhh that scary word TRANCHE!!! And yes, margins change AS MORE VOTES ARE COUNTED. Not magic, just math. What a fucking imbecile.

I guess there was never an election where a Democrat was temporarily ahead but in the end a Republican won.

Clearly, whoever is ahead after the first vote is counted
should be declared the winner.

Did you examine elections where Republicans won?

Also, no.

It happened so fast it made everyone's head spin in the legal profession—and no doubt caused the panic that led other firms to capitulate.

It never really made sense.
Paul Weiss was one of the first major law firms to bend the knee to Trump.

And, yup, connected to Epstein.
