Coogler is an artist we should be mentioning with the likes of Scorsese, Takovsky and Kurosawa.
black creators of various stripes are often forced into categories so as to make them legible and (i’d say) shrink the ambitions of their work.

Liberal Currents consistently delivers quality takes and is a beacon of light in an information environment gong dark. Donate if you can, they are simply the best out there now.
For the evening crowd: we need another $25k to reach 33% of our goal. Help us shrink that gap tonight! gofund.me/14adb8d75

VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE THAT WILL WORK TO EARN YOUR VOTE

Tomorrow is election day, TN-7, and I'm humbly asking for your vote. I promise to be accessible and only beholden to the voters of the district, never donors or special interests. Polls open at 7 AM & close at 7 PM. Let's go out and win this!

No rallies or contact with supporters

Right-wing media

Dinners with rich donors and billionaires

Today we’re talking a bit about something we will work on if we meet our funding goal. We’ve been planning The Reconstruction Papers most of the year and our difficulty getting it off the ground as we are now was part of the motive for the fundraiser. www.liberalcurrents.com/a-preview-of...

I regret every joke I’ve made about how our elected officials were so old they didn’t know how to use a computer. I would give anything for another administration that doesn’t know how to use a computer

10 years ago we had a plethora of local newspapers, hundreds of more magazines, many smaller game studios, film slates that covered every genre, much more indie/genre music and no gen ai. Tech consolidation has been apocalyptic.
it’s so weird to look around and realize like, tech and media are materially worse than a decade ago
