The self titled mini series we get to see how she spent that time, learning sorcery first from an Alternative Storm, then learning combat and hunting from Alternative Kitty, and finally more sorcery from Belasco where she finally gained the knowledge she needed to free herself.

Yes. She was his kid sister and was kidnapped by Belasco into Limbo. He planned to corrupt her innocent soul and use it as a sacrifice to open the way for his Elder God masters to crossover and destroy the Earth. The X-Men rescued her, but due to time distortions she spent decades in Limbo.

Sort of? The movie keeps the sexual trauma but throws out the demons and attributes it to Bad People with no mention of Limbo. In the comics they had figured it out pretty well but apparently Editorial Fiat has demanded to roll her back so everybody is mad over an Unlimited comic this week.

It was a good idea to try and do Demon Bear too... but they Essex institute and the character assassination of Cecilia Reyes were both weak spots.

They slept on Essex. I appreciated they had the guts to play up the sapphic vibe between Dani and Rahne and Anya Taylor Joy was delightful as a "semi-made safe for normies" Illyana

I was surprised how much I liked the movie even if it was kind of a miss in the end.
