Hairballs! is a 3d, asteroids-like, dogs v. yakking cats shooter.

I'm finally getting to the fun part. I'm churning through a list of 2d/3d work, rigging, animating, and getting 'em into the engine.

Generative AI by definition is conformity. It is an averaging of anything you ask of it - quite literally guessing what the most likely version of a thing might be. It is, by definition, mainstream, as is everything it creates old and deeply ideological, as every model trains on similar data.
AI filmmaking is peeing. It’s pooping. It’s throwing up. It’s a new kind of liquid coming out. It’s hated by the establishment. It’s what goes in the toilet. It’s wet. It’s what’s in the bathroom.

Sure didn’t count on a mid-40s ADHD diagnosis giving me some hope. It’s like one of those racing boats that gets 2 inches of air off a duck fart and then gets fucking crumbled on reentry.

Leaving a godot q overnight: what are my best bets for a dialogue manager? I’ve used custom (credit @oneofmoo.bsky.social) and ink in Unity, but interested whats working over here. Musts:

- loc friendly (csv flow)
- utterly custom ui a possibility
- plays nice with complex external logic

Tired of always manually setting gizmo visibilities from a huge dropdown in Godot? I hacked together a little addon which lets you make "gizmo presets" so you can quickly show/hide/x-ray all the gizmo types you need. Get it here: github.com/CozyCubeGame...

I've seen a lot of people struggle with converting Blender materials to #Godot materials. Here's a stupid thing I did that might help someone.

I hooked up my Roughness image so that it was pushing sRGB instead of Linear values. Converting sRGB to Linear raises the value to the power of 2.2!

A couple weeks ago, after artisanally crafting 19 asteroid variations, I treated myself to the google image search: "cat hairball vomit"

What would a hairball look like hurtling through space? I dunno either, but check my reference material if you dare.

I'm looking to animate eyes with an indexed texture in #godot

Does anyone have experience using a scaled UV vs. using a set of AtlasTextures? Better methods?
