You've got until the end of tomorrow to grab this and convince your friends to do the same. The bots ain't terrible either if you want to play it solo, has drop-in/drop-out multiplayer, and thanks to the giveaway, tons of new players.

It's just a good time.
Cool free stuff alert: They're giving away the base version of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 this weekend.

Really good co-op first-person brawler about the world's most dysfunctional friend group fighting through the ratpocalypse.

There's some decent DLC but they've added a LOT for free over the years.
Save 100% on Warhammer: Vermintide 2 on Steam
The critically acclaimed Vermintide 2 is a visually stunning and groundbreaking melee action game pushing the boundaries of the first person co-op genre. Join the fight now!

On my daily drive, none of the 5 or 6 houses with trump signs or flags have taken them down.

Nor has the woman with a Kamala sign either.
I don’t know if this reflects what others have seen in rural areas, but it has been a noticeable glimmer to me the last couple of times I was really out in the sticks.
Definitely fair, but also my anecdata in driving around rural Maryland is that there’s a bit fewer Trump signs and the occasional “fuck Trump” (not in those words exactly) sign. Not the absolute numbers but the movement.

Because my characters have a lot more money than me lol.

But yeah discussions about buying torches and rations, etc are not very interesting.
I fully do not understand people who enjoy shopping in TTRPGs. I can go shopping in real life. The mall is right there and I have the entire internet on my phone. Why would I also go shopping in a fictional world? That's a chore! I don't want chores, I want adventure and drama.

Wow, this must be one of the most popular things I've ever posted on here, guess I hit upon a sentiment a lot of people were feeling? So, can you do me a favour?

Advocate for the art you love. Talk about it, uplift it, introduce it to others, leave reviews. Let's not just focus on the negative.
Why am I so against generative AI in games?

Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

I might be an early adopter of the shift to domesticating raccoons.

Hard sale for the rest of the family, especially the cats.

I don't really travel, but I will nominate Columbus Georgia. There's a nice downtown that really takes advantage of the river.
Which US city has improved the most over the past 15 years?

Mine is probably dogs and cats being equal to children under the law.

Also as a meat eater, we should all be vegetarian or vegan.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

As a former member of NYT’s finance team & the co-author of this story exposing the relationship between Epstein & Bill Gates as well as one on Epstein & JPMorgan, I am really frustrated to see people claiming that NYT sat on publishable info about Trump and Epstein 🧵 www.nytimes.com/2019/10/12/b...

Glad this story is finally public but also incredible that it is taking media so long to dig up what is essentially open knowledge in these communities rn.

Really delighted to see these gentlemen taking a stand for good.

Damn good actual play podcast of old school role playing.

About to buy and run The Halls of Arden Vuhl because of their adventures.

I'm the spouse of an air traffic controller and I could not be more livid at the news that Dems might cave. I called and left voicemails for my Dem senators. If my family can hold the fucking line, so can they.

I called osoff and left a message. Pretty damn angry about this. If they cave then it was just weeks of suffering to no advantage.

It's really nice to see at least some of the people I've valued over the years come out swinging for good when it counts.
alliances only go in one direction with people like you. dismissive of other people’s lives and human rights as long as your personal stuff doesn’t get touched. fuck off.

I have already seen mouth breathers on nextdoor saying both sides are pro nazi and then mention platner as evidence.
If Democrats brush off a Nazi tattoo as an innocent mistake, they're abandoning the ability to make effective arguments against Nazis across the aisle. It'd be an unforced error that would taint the party for generations, and rightly so.
